A few years ago I set a New Year’s goal to read 30 books during the year. I think I came close- 27 was my final number. Nowadays, that number seems to be in a far off galaxy, but as we get into more of a routine, I have found a little more time to make myself a cup of tea, cuddle up in bed, and get into a good book.
I always try to switch it up between fun reads and books that help me develop personally or professionally. I just recently finished Eight Hundred Grapes which was a nice, easy read and also made me crave a visit over to Sonoma in the near future. I am in the midst of Arianna Huffington’s book Thrive, which is perfect timing as I am heading back to work in the coming week. Being that I work out of my car most of the day, nap rooms won’t be a part of my future anytime soon, but her practices in meditation I do try to make a part of my lunchtime routine. I am only about a quarter of the way through, but can already see so many of her ideals making their way into my daily life.
Any book recommendations for my next reads are welcome this way! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
